About the Cool Route Project
The Cool Route project, led by Cork Institute of Technology, investigated all aspects of developing and marketing the cruising grounds of the Northern Periphery and Arctic Area along Europe’s north-western seaboard. The project had partners in Irteland, Northern ireland, Scotland, The Faroe Islands and Norway. The ultimate focus is on increasing business for local coastal enterprises. Coasts from the South of Ireland, around Western and Northern Ireland, Western Scotland , Faroe Islands and Western Norway provide some terrific locations in which to cruise and project partners and associate partners, combined their research and expertise to gain world wide recognition for this cruising area.
